The heater in my 1987 944s just quit working. I had the car in for a clutch master cylinder replacement and now the heater does not work. The fan blows and if I place the center switch in the vent position it will blow air, but it is cold regardless of temp setting. Moving the lever up to the defrost/floor setting results in no air flow to either position, and the dfrost switch results in absolutley nothing happening. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like a fuse or relay gone bad. Check your fuse box

Same problem I had with mine, turned out to be a vacume source issue on mine. There are two ported vacume sources running along the back firewall, one has a blue connector and pulls vacume from the drivers side of the motor near the brake booster. Check it, it operates the heater valve and supplies vacume to the under dash vacume source units that control the climate unit.

upon closer inspection it turns out it was the fuse. It burnt in a really odd location so a casual glance made it appear to still be good. I Know now when I blew the thing to, it was when I was testing the relay circuit on the a/c relay. Thanks for the advice!!
