In the movie "Exit Wounds" with Steven Seagal there is a 944 turbo it is Silver.....You can see it right after he becomes partners with the black cop....they start driving together and talking and you can see it perfectly!

Obin, did you get my post a few days ago about the movie "The Skulls"? There is a 996 in it that gets it's window smashed. Also, the movie "Bait" has a black 911 in it.

Correction on Duece Bigalo. He drives around in a 996 Cabrio, not a Boxster

I see that the list mentions the 928 in "Donnie Brasco" but doesn't mention the 911 that Pacino "repos" at the beginning of the movie.

hmm, i see that there are a few corrections to be made. i'll get to them later today.
yeah, that FAA video should be included too. so are Porsches in animation. after all, if an animator can choose any car in the world, adn tehy draw a Porsche... then something must be special about the car. obin |

Obin: Great list! I have been compiling such a list for a short time now, and it is nothing compared to your list!
I do have one movie addition: "Modern Problems" starring Chevy Chase (He's an airtraffic controller that gets special powers when he gets hit with nuclear sludge.) One of his friends, a crazy psychologist, drives a late 70's/early 80's 911 Targa. In the movie: "Gone in 60 Seconds" (the new one released last year), I'm pretty sure I saw a 959 being loaded up (towards the end of the movie). That would be kinda impossible since they aren't allowed on the streets yet... Also: although I cannot name the episodes, Miami Vice has tons of Porsche scenes. Thanks again for the list! -Zoltan. I haven't seen the 959 in "gone in sixty seconds," but there is a 356. Try and find it. It's not too hard.

i can vouch for that 959 in 60 secs, furthermore the 959 is now able to be driven on U.S. soil thanks to the new " show and display " policy in which DOT has allowed cars of historic significance to be imported for limited use (2,500 miles a year).

porschepatron: so I guess this means that I can take the dust cover off my 959 and start driving it?!?!?
(Just kidding: I only WISH I had a historically significant car like that! ![]() Thanks for the clarification. -Z. |

Obin:
I found another: In "Endless Summer," a surfing documentary movie from the 1960's there's a shot of the back of a 356 in an airport parking lot. I am 95% sure it was a 356: I'll try to verify it: wonder if Blockbuster will have that title.... Thanks for the mention on your website! -Zoltan. |

I just got done watching part of a movie called Shattered. It has a early 80's or so a Red 911 Targa. It was racing around in the woods on a dirt road too!?
At one point as they were leavin an area which there seemed to be another 911 in the background but could not tell. ------------------ Penz 1985.5 944 My 944 page |

Was flipping through the channels last night and I passed HBO. Saw an old 911 (like late 60's early 70's). The movie was called Modern Romance.

The very crappy movie "Zapped 2" features a then-new 944 NA. I think it was black.
Another crappy one, "Thinner" has a 928. The trailer for the upcoming movie "Blow" starring Jonny Depp has an early 911. And who could forget the chase scene with the 965 and the Shelby Cobra in "Bad Boys" |

Got another one: in the Robin Williams vehicle "cadillac man," his used car salesman character tries to sell a very big man a beautiful (but much too small) 944.

Haha thought of two more for the list:
A 930 Slantnose in "Get Shorty" a G-model 911 drives by in the hilarious Weird Al movie "UHF" and for tv shows.... an episode where the simpsons go to the car wash in the beginning has Porsche posters behind the cash register.... almost every episode of seinfeld features something that has to do with Porsche (posters, magnets, Excellence, and actual 911s) |
