Post Outside door handle

hey Pelican lists that the pre 85 outer handles are 71.00 and the 85.5 (which is my car) are 197.00 what is the difference in them. Is it just power doors or something, cause mine arent power anyways, will they fit or do i have to pay 200 bucks per door to fix cause both the doors dont open from the outside, only the inside.

You might be able to adjust the linkage in the door handles. I had the same problem when it was cold this winder. Unfortunatly i didnt want to talk the window guide off so i just waited till it warmed up again.

But it might save ya some bucks

It is not necessary to replace the door handle to fix the problem of the door not opening from the outside. Remove inner door panels. Squeeze the outside trigger and observe inside linkage movenent. Disconnect and lengthen rod to adjiust, reconnect and test outside door handle trigger.

You might have a set of broken connecting clips. You will see a metal rod coming from the outer handle to the latch, at the end is the adjustable clip that attches the rod to the clip. Both of my clips eventually cracked from age and lack of lubrication at the latch. Porsche sells that rod and clip seperate from the door handle for around $15
