Porsche Crest NEW MODERATOR...

In order to better maintain on-topic control of the forum, I am transferring my Moderator duties to lordgrommit.

He will be able to delete and edit posts, and will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and on-topic nature of the "944 Technical Forum," which should, in my opinion, contain mostly 944 technical information, and not the spats and off-topic material that has been posted in the past.

The Porsche Talk forum is the place for non-technical discussions.

Matt (lordgrommit) will be devising a set of guidelines for posts in this forum (taking input from everyone here), and then enforcing them amongst the posts. Hopefully, this solution will satisfy everyone here.

Thanks everyone for your support, it is not my intention to turn this board into a military state (similar to PPBB), but I would like posts to remain on the topic, be void of porn, cursing, and threats.

Thanks,

Wayne

No, I used another ID name to ask and reply to posts. This was done so that I did not have to endure off topic, rude, insults and derogitory images and comments directed towards me every time I participated on the board. Everytime my ID comes up, the usual gang of 1%'s get going on trashing me. Infact, take a search on Planters ID and ask yourself, where is the quality and relivance in his postings.. I think you can form your own opinion from that

Nothing personal towards you, just letting the card fall on the table... personal attacks, what's your "watch out for P0r2chby" thing all about. I'd like you to stay and play but please don't dump on me for wanting a better, on topic place

Yes porsch2boy or whatever is very over protective and thinks that toadays society is what it was 20/30 years ago. But all you have to do is not post OVER offensice things unless in good humor all you do when you reply negativly is fuel the fire thats why i chose not to "assocaite" my self with him....hopefully this post didnt fuel the fire anymore.... Oh yeah everything I sdaid was my opinion so take it for what its worth..

Oh yeah mod we dont need a list of rules.. We are all Adults and we can handle most things...you just have to make sure that it doesnt get out of hand..such as real bad arguments or nudity.

I was back..I just dont reply unless i have something to say. I also usually hang out at the 911 board so that you dont have to worry about me.

Anyway, welcome back... you are right, all I did by replying to things was to ad fire. I'm being much more selective now with my commentary

I have been on this forum for the past few months, and quite frankly, some of the discussions get way off topic. I don't so much mind things such as sightings, porsche stories, comparasions to other drivers and other Porsche related material. The thing that I personally do not care for are the off topic conversations. If a post is about brakes, then please keep on subject. I know that sometimes when discussing something it can trigger a question or comment about something else. Just start a new topic, this way it is easier to find information quicker. Also, there is a spell check option box at the bottom of the page next to the submit reply button.
