Relay problem

Okay I have had some trouble with my cooling fans working. Now the relay in slot 1 is burnt up so I know that has to be replaced and I was looking at the cooling fan relay in slot 3. I think the wrong relay may have been installed, does anyone know the correct part numbers?
Here is what I have now:

Slot one 944 615 113 00
Slot three 171 937 503

From what I can gather part 944 615 113 00 has been updated to 944 615 113 01. Is this right?

These sites might help...

This one has a photo, and layout of the fuse and relay blocks.

Clarks garage has a pretty good page about the DME relay, which is in between the two you are having a problem with...just in case.

Not sure on the Part#, but the updated one looks reasonable.

Good Luck :)

So no one can verify the part numbers for me?

944 615 113 01 being the A/C relay ....

Cooling Fan relay being 141 951 253 B.... for the early 944

yeah, I just found another site suggesting that 944 615 113 01 be the updated one. Also I have 171 937 503 as the fan realy now, but I am going to change it to the 141 951 253B that I guess it's supposed to be. I am also going to go a head and replace the thermo switch. That should take care of everything:)

For some reason I had a couple of the a/c fan relays go bad. I wired both fans together from the thermo switch so that they both come on at the same time. Anyone know of a downside to doing this?
