AC belt lock nuts
the outside nut loosens in the regular way and the inside nut loosens the opposite way, correct?
is there a trick to these or do i just loosen the ouside nut and then adjust the inside nut? i just did a primo job stripping the outside nut

You got it, loosen the outside nuts and then adjust using the center section.
PB blaster and let them soak. - optionally, loosen the compressor bolt and then remove the tensioner entirely - clean it up and put it back on. AFJuvat

thank ye
i considered taking off one of the accesories but i hadnt thought to take off the tensioner rod

You can tell which way to turn the lock nuts by looking at the exposed portion of the thread that is beyond the nut. Nut follows thread......
