1st to 2nd is screwy, and reverse is really weird...

often times when i go from 1st to 2nd it feels rather "rough" going into gear, then 2nd to 3rd isn't as bad but still feels not like i think it should feel like. kind of like gears grinding a little.

ALSO, sometimes when i try to go to reverse, i push in the clutch and can pull as hard as i want (but i don't) and it won't go into gear, i can push it back to neutral and try again, but it still won't work. eventually what i do, is put it as far as i can in reverse, let out the clutch a little (it will grind a slight bit as i also push the gear back into neutral) then i can finally pull it into reverse.
^^^why does it do this?

is my transmission going?

when you push the shift lever back into neutral let out the clutch for a second and try it again. some times the gears line up tooth to tooth so they cant get in. i think it means bad synchros.

Thought you destroyed third gear? Now you are working on first and second?

Does rough 1st to 2nd co-incide with cold mornings and a cold engine / gearbox? Is it fine when all warmed up?

If so changing gear oil to something thinner might help (ie synthetic)

the gears do that stuff warm or cold, and the weird thing is, it doesn't ALWAYS happen.
