I have a 93 968 and it make this rattling noise coming from the right side everytime i reach 2950 RPM in any gears,, in neutral it doesnt make that sound, I took it to the porsche specialist and said it could be the heat shield..
any suggestions.. thanks |

if it's coming from the right front (engine compartment) the only suggestion I would have is to turn the engine off

Yikes! It might be the heat shield, which is not hard to determine. I would check that before driving further and if you cannot be sure, pull the cam cover and check the variocam, cam chain and cam sprockets. You might check that stuff anyway even if you find a loose heat shield.
