76 gas sucks anyways...go with Chevron or Mobil and keep your valves squeaky clean and lemony fresh

Hey guys, check the pumps! Its already 91 octane at most places! Last time I was in Cali was June 13 and only MObile and Chevron had 92, the rest were 91!

And yes EuroSpec944 is right. I have a high performance engine in my 912 and therefore it is VERY VERY VERY picky. It will run OK on Shell and will run great on Chevron and Mobile. Everything else sucks! ARCO, Texaco, 76, Exxon, they all run like crap. Also just because companies merge doesn't mean they have the same gas. Try Shell and Texaco. Same company, totally different gas.

So if you want to keep your car happy, use Chevron or Mobile gas and Mobil or Mobil 1 oil

What would happen if i put 100 racing gas in, lets say, my 1.5 liter honda civic? Does it affect the engine if it wasnt made for high performance?

Thumbs down

Bottom line - that sucks. On the other hand it will be more of a challenge to get high hp out of 91 and this might give us some more bragging rights...lol
