Sometimes, just for spite, they throw in Casino Royale with David Niven and Woody Allen.

Then they do it all over again about six months later - concentrating on one particular actor's portrayal of the role. They don't call them reruns or repeats though. Uh. Uh. They're always billed as "another opportunity to see ... etc. etc."

Christmas is, ironically, Hell on Earth. All the absurd queues, the ridiculous spending, the crowds of angry bothered people, drunk drivers, the random police harrassment of drivers, the ***** tv, the forced good cheer and the long hours spent in the company of people you don't even like. I'm an aethiest so I can't even scuffle on my knees in a church and revel in the piousness of it all. It sucks.

Really i understand your thoughs,i´m a believer but really christmas nowadays is seen like a comercial oportunity,and also people usually don´t like it ´cause they are sad to remember people who has died,and other disgraces.

But ... on a happy note I did manage to get into the whole Thanksgiving thing that I laid on for my wife. And it actually DID feel like a decent holiday. It was very odd to be in a holiday mood when the rest of the citizens were suffering just an ordinary miserable working day in Blair's Britain.

I cooked a huge Turkey, did all the American trimmings and even baked a cheesecake with a stars and stripes topping. After a period of rest to recover from our bloatedness I went the extra distance and cleaned all my rifles whilst watching the Last of the Mohicans.

See, I can have fun.
