Question How would I go about stiffening up the rear?

How could i stiffen the rear end..I have eibachs up front and the rear is lowered but still loose as a goose...would konis do it? What is the most inexpensive waay I could tighten the back up like a rock...I could careless about comfort levels...-thanks in advance-chris

Just shocks isn't goin to do it, u need to go to larger(fatter) torsion bars to get the same effect as stiffer springs in the front. There is a hollow design that is lighter and has the effectiveness as fatter solid bars. That's still down the road for me, Koni's are in one of my phases of modifations too.

Actually shocks can also increase rear roll stiffness, though that may not be the best way to do it.

I'd get an adjustible rear sway bar, along with shocks. Keep in mind that a hollow torsion bar will NOT reduce unsprung weight, therefore may not be worth the $. And it's probably not worth the trouble to change it out.

If your rear is loose, you need less rear sway bar. An adjustable rear bar would allow you to soften it, which will plant the rear tires more.

Insted of doing that, i'd get an adjustable front bar. If you stiffen up the front, you'll increase rear traction without loosing overall roll stifness.

The general rule is, you need to increase roll stifness on the end that is NOT sliding. I.E. if you have a car that understeers, you need a stiffer rear or a softer front, if it oversteers (your case) you need a stiffer front or a softer rear.

fty- when you say the rear is loose, do you mean there is a lot of roll/travel during cornering, or do you mean that the car is oversteering/sliding out?

I assume you mean the car has excessive roll since you asked how to stiffen up the rear. This will increase oversteer.
