Question Sluggish revvs? Like a slug unitl turbo really spools up...

86 951 with 98,000 miles....

My car seems to accelerate like a slug especially in 1st off the line. It is worse when cold. You can try to rev her up in -N- and it is just a second behind...throttle position switch, tune up, ??? When I am around 3,000 rpm or more she pulls great...go figure? Boost enhancer??

Thanks Brock

Mine was sluggish too. I had some slack in the thottle cable. You can also replace the cable cam I hear, and a boost enhacer should help get the boost up in the lower rpm range.
I will be installing a BE here in a few days, Ill let you know whassup.

NOTE: Ever notice how cool that fender flare looks in your sideview mirror at night?
(ok, maybe i ate too much acid in college)
Sergio.

Wow, you guys have a neutral position on your 5-speeds?!? Mine doesn't. It's always in gear. I have to stop and start the engine every time I need to stop. In fact, lately I have just been going from light to light with the starter. It is much easy than worrying about shifting. (Sorry Andre, I had to)

Sergio: It's not the acid. The fenders do look cool in the sideviews.

I discovered one of the coolest angles to look at while you are driving...stick your head out of the window and look straight ahead between the mirror and the a pillar, and stare at the front left fender. Pretty . Maybe it was too much of the acid and mushrooms in highschool...I don't know...

Ribs actually drove like this for a week. His washer nozzles for the windshield were clogged and his windshield was too grimy to see out of.
