Clutch Doesnt Return.

Hey..

This morning i needed to go somewhere..and i pushed the clutch down and turned the car on...then when i wanted to go into reverse...the car grinded..im like "OUCH!" and i realized the clutch wasnt coming back up.

It comes up when i pull it out..but it doesnt seem to wanna stay engaged..

Dammnit...this car is a headache..

What could be the problem?

Bad clutch hydraulic cylinders or just a leak in the feed line from the brake reservour to them.

First, make sure none of your lines are leaking.

You'll probably notice either your clutch master or slave cylinder is leaking. This is typical. Even if you don't see a leak one of the cylinders is probably leaking internally. It doesn't matter which because it is best to change both at the same time. If one is bad, then the other is going to go bad within a year...personal experience. The job is not tough. You can do it yourself in less than 3 hours. I did the master cylinder in less than 1 1/2 hours in the public parking garage at work.

If you need help then shoot me an email or do a search on this BBS. A couple of guys have had this trouble on this BBS and we hashed it out on some posts.
