VW Turn Signal Relay
Will a vw turn signal relay work on an 83 944? If so, what is the part #?
There is no Porsche dealer w/in 100 mi of me. I'd like to get this part asap and locally at the vw dealership if possible. Thanks.

I've heard that the turn signal relay is rather genaric. You can get eithter an electronic timed or resistance timed unit at most auto stores.
Also the early eigthies VW Rabbit relays are supposed to be the same as well as a few other engine items.

Yeah, BUS make them aftermarket. VW, Audi and Porsche all use them. The older part number has superceded to the new number. The tall green relay is replaced with a shorter black one with a "161" on the top. If it helps I remember 6 of the nine numbers on the old relay:000___227D, maybe 663? Close but no cigar, I must be slipping.
