What is it and what does it do?
Small metal cylinder
on back of airbox two electrical connections vacuum hose in, vacuum hose out. ?????????????? #2 Is the wire ground closest to the tower or the manifold? |
Valve for the charcoal gas fumes filter canister.
|
No, that's the A/C "extra air in to compensate for the drag of the A/C belt thingy".
|
"extra air in to compensate for the drag of the A/C belt when you turn the A/C on thingy" I mean. I'm assuming that the car came out with A/C.
|
Yes indeed ----A/C a must in Florida.
So......If it wasn't working I would get a significant rpm drop at idle when the a/c cycles on... Yes...... Ground closest to the shocktower? |
Oh yeh Todwic....I assume A/C comes standard in the 3rd plane of hades.
......If you know the right people. |
aye, rpm drop. If one of em is brown, that's the ground, other than that, I can't really say. Get jiggy w/ voltmeter.
|
aye, standard. I keep hoping they kick me out for opening up the ice water stand, but I musta been really, really bad.
|
I was thinking to far back.

Auxiliary Air Solenoid. Energized when the A/C compressor clutch is energized. Allows additional airflow into the intake to compensate for the additional mechanical load from the A/C compressor.
|
reading the subject line, i just got the theme song for 'will it float' stuck in my head. heh
|
New P Jargon from this post..
"extra air in to compensate for the drag of the A/C belt when you turn the A/C on thingy" = Auxiliary Air Solenoid both work for me |
