If you were going to swap the engine out of the 944, why not do ANOTHER porsche engine?
GTS 5.4L 347HP maybe? S2 Engine, cuz you wouldn't need any cutting to fit a S2, just a new wiring harness and maybe a DME swap if you're pre 85.5... Just curious as to why someone would go w/ another brand other than porsche... I'd feel ALOT less guilty if I put like a 968,928,944 S2 engine in instead of a ford or chevy maybe. |

The 928 V8 will fit, but the same power can be had cheaper with a non-Porsche engine (such as a chevy).
S2 engine swaps are quite commonly (as far as swapping engines go) performed, along with 968 engine swaps. Ahmet ------------------ It's all the driver... My page over1g@hotmail.com Porsche owners Gallery.../My 944 |

Yeah I have a V8 from a S4 laying around but it has a Porsche attached to it. Personally I would like to dump a 928 into a 944 it would be a blast to drive. But if I had such a monster I would be prone to abuse it often. Everytime I find myself snatching gears I always have "if I blow this motor I cannot afford to replce it" in the back of my head. With a Chevy Vortek all I would have bouncing around in my head would be "If I blow this thing I can rebuild it from a junkyard for a couple hundred".
