Headlight problem
 

Ok well, i went to change my lights to new H4 lights. Forgot to turn off my headlights while i put the new one in (if it matters). So i put the new one in and it dosent work...Ok so i put the old one in, dosent work. This is what i know

1) fuse is fine, the head lights are on different fuses, and i checked them both.

Any ideas?

Broken wires or the socket connector at the plug is dirty and/or bent.

ok well me and my dad tried to test if there was power to the fuse, dosent seem like there is, anyone have any ideas?

ya, key is turned. The other headlight is on while we are testing this.

alright well apparently "main beam" isnt the head lights. I had checked the wrong fuse. The fuse was actaully blown. i cut the connector off, leaving almost no spare wire to reconnect, and now i need a new connector *crys* ill i just go get one from this guy up the road. thanks for the help

Check the wiring harness where it attaches to the headlight frame. I had similiar issues w/ the headlight blowing fuses and it seems as the lights rotate up and down the harness eventually wears and shorts. You might have to remove the wire tie in this area to see the wear on the wire jacket. Hopefully the problem is as obvious as mine was. If So just peel back the harness jacket and use 3cents worth of electrical tape to properly insulate. good luck
