Post 944's chirp going into 3rd?

Does anyone here have a 944 that can Chirp going into 3rd? I'm just curious as to how much HP and TQ is required to do so... I've yet to see a 944 that could do that... =)

I'm sure everyone can if they go from second to neutral and rev, then pop it in. I was talking about shifting as fast as possible trying to get a good 0-60 time, do you chirp going into third?

i can get a chirp shifting from 1st to 2nd in my NA, but not 2nd to 3rd ... that shift point is at nearly 60 mph.... not nearly enough torque to rip 'em loose at that speed, but maybe if I had skinnier bald tires.....

I usually get a big chirp going into third when autocrossing. But I cheat- I've got an S2.

Every time i've driven the car hard (such as when i used to be stupid and drag race), I've chirped the tires in 3rd. 83 944, stock except for K&N filter and Jacobs Wires

my stock 944 would easily do it. they all will if they have a good clutch and are shifted hard enough. my turbo will spin third until you let off of the throttle if shifted too hard.

My N/A did it easily until I switched to wider tires in the back. Had 215/60/15's all around. Just put 235/60/15 on the rear this past weekend. Doesn't seem to do it as easily now.

My 924S can easliy chirp loudly when shifting into 2nd, even at fairly low RPMs (3,000-3,500). I have occasionally chirped into 3rd, but this was shifting agressively at close to redline. I've done it maybe three times... I remember because I was pleasantly surprised.

I can do it through the first, three gears. Its pretty cool if you ask me, I never got the chance to try and do fourth, but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to do it.
