Gauge faces problem!!
I found 2 of the gauge faces are not illuminated (as below). What's wrong of my 1989 944. (fuse problem? light-bulb problem? gauge problem? or others?)
Please help, Thanks!!

there are only 3 bulbs that lite up all the faces, most likely 1 or 2 bulbs are out. pull the wheel , dash front, gauge cluster, the ribbons come off easily ,use the tabs on each end of the connector, i took off the light tunnels by carefully cutting away the plastic that hold them and prying them off, carefully! then i wiped them off using MEK, then i found some reflective foil tape at home depot heat dept and i wrapped the tunnels with it, leaving the proper openings and carefully reassembled using 3 watt bulbs from pepboys. now i wear my sun glasses at nite. hope it helps, it only takes a few minutes to take the dash apart and once it is you might want new faces put on? i did plain white w/black numbers and red indicators, looks kind of plain now, a color would have been nice.
