is my transmisson gonna blow up
Ok this sounds bad, usually my 2nd gear is hard to get into. Like i have to try to shift into it twice, people told me my sncryos were going out. Well the whole transmission froze up while i was driving today. I couldnt get it outta second. I had to like pry it out while i was driving.
Since then i am able to shift into second with no problem. It shifts nice and easy. Ok now here is where they problem lies my friends. Despite the easy shifting, it makes a grind sound every time i shift into it. Like when i put it in gear it goes KLUNK and sounds like its griding. It only happens right when i put it in second. Is my transmisson gonna blow up?

It sounds bad......
Usually these type of symptoms occur when a trans has been run low on oil for a while...... How is the oil level?..

of course it can leak out... thats why you see so many soiled transmissions/differentials

What kind of trans fluid did you use?

Uggh. That doesn't sound good at all. . .
I'd start looking for a new one or at the very least starting a rebuild fund jar. I had something similar happen on an old car of mine (not a 944 though) - it was with the 4th gear. I just didn't use it (4th) for several months and was able to limp around that way for a while until the thing just outright died one day. Turned out there was a problem with those manuals that they slowly liked to seep fluid out the top where the shift lever plugged in (not a very good seal there) and as fluid splashed around inside, it'd lose oil very slowly over time. Might be something similar with these - check those levels often!
