Post Does anybody have an idea?

My 86 944 na will run for about 2 minutes perfectly normal, and then the engine cuts out. I can't start her for about 8 hours or so. But 8 hours later, its the same process; 2 minutes and cut out. I've tried a lot of stuff and nothing has worked.

2 minutes is just about enuf time for electrical component to heat up, maybe then shut down (computer???) after cooling off for 8 hrs resets and might go thru the same cycle again?? Could be a relay doing that also.

Could this be a severly toasted ignition coil? I had a problem something like this but it took my car 5 mins for the coil to heat up enough to cut out...

I replaced the dme relay, coil, distributor, rotor, checked the cold start valve. Also did the little the jumper job in the fuse box to jog the fuel pump. I think it might be the dme, but I really want to check all my options.
