Wheel offsets?

Ok, I am looking at some rims for my 83, and the are front 7.5 inch +30 and the rear are 8.5 inch +15 what the hell does this mean? The 83 model has those factory 21mm rear spacers and well I have removed them and put 1.70 inch bolt on adapters to bring the 7 inch cookies out to the fender in the rear so it would look better, what would I have to do to make these wheels fit good and look good? Im pretty sure the front wheels will fit and look good, but im not sure about the rears,do I need to put the factory studs and spacers back on the rear to get it to fit properly? If so I might have some adapters for sale that make that awful gap from wheels to fender an the back go away.
Thanks

The factory 83 came with spacers and different sizes between front & rear? Doesn't sound right to me. . .

Ok, I have the 7 inch cookies on there now, but I am getting 7.5 front and 8.5 rear wheels.

Put the rear spacers back on. Your offset is 23mm. You put a 8.5 wheel with an inch and 3/4 spacer wont cut it. What are the new wheels?! Sman
