Seen a 944 last year on eBay that had wide fenders. Don't know who made them. So they have to be out there.

Front fenders, bumpers and such would be bolt-on. The rear fenders, however would require a little more work, probably best left to a body shop. All fiberglass parts and panels usually require a little finish work as well to achieve a nice fit.

On a 944 it might look weird period.
I have thought about adding a "little extra" though to the front and rear arches and lines with either metal or bodyfiller before I paint it..... Not enough to create a drastic change, just a bit more of a good thing. The 924 however is another story. There are several widebody kits that turn it into a 944 or more. Maybe an early 924 is really the car you are looking for. Cheap, engine is a tosser, body probably needs paint and many kits mod. Check out the 924org site for all the racing/mod info
