How do i remove the factory glue left under the carpet,without damaging the surface/paint? any help would be great,thanks

Go to your local auto parts store and tell them what are you going to do. They should point you in the direction of a certain Universal Cleaner. It should take the glue right off and is no harm to the paint. Good luck.

Try 3m Adhesive Remover. It is strong yet doesn't harm the paint finish. I sprayed it on the sides of my 951 to remove a tape pinstripe and the residue from the gravel guards. Works well and the paint still looks fine.
