Hey all, my fan speed control will SOME of the time work on #1 #2 and #3 but always on #4. Most other times it's fine. I heard that it might be a relay? any ideas. I hope that is all it is. L8r- Alex

Reomve the plastic cover over the fan. Follow the wires to where they connect to fan itself. Unplug the wires from the white connector, and remove the two phillips screws holding the connector to the fan motor. Once removed you will see 4 barrel looking resistors. Somewhere in there you have a bad solder connection, you can try and fix it, or just get a new pne. Position 4 is the default +12 and will usually always work.

We've covered this before, but for the sake of anyone that missed it, mine did the same thing when I first got it. Take the knob off of the switch and spray some contact cleaning spray into the switch. Work it vigorously back and forth several times to work the cleaner into the switch. Mine eventually started working correctly and is still working 5-6 years later. Good luck.
