inner tie rods on 86 944...is it tough to do???
I am going to attempt to replace both my inner tie rods and install new boots. has anyone done this and if so how difficult of a job is it. My mechanic wants to charge 275 including alignment. Any help would be appreciated.

You can get the tie rods (complete) for $49.00 each at vertex. Installation isn't all that difficult with the right tools - in this case a big, thin wrench and a pickle fork.
shouldn't cost you more than $150 for tools and parts, then a wheel alignment AFJuvat |
