Where is the IAT Sensor? Bought Hurricane Horsepower

I recently purchased an F5 unit from Hurricane horsepower which lets you "dial in" better performance, but it says that you must splice the wires from this box into the wires from the IAT sensor on either the engine or the throttle body. Could someone take a picture or describe where this is, so that i may instll this device? Thankyou very much.

Uhmm, I would call Hurricane hpwr and see if they can lead you in the right direction.

AMF temp thingy to fool the DME that it's cold outside and send a longer pulse to the injectors

I was 17 once...probably a good thing I decided not to have kids

Next mod you should try is the Tornado.

Actually, by reading the website it looks like all this will do is lower your miles per gallon. Sounds like snake oil to me.

The Tornado?!?! Is that the "as seen on tv" thing that controls the uniformity of how the air enters the cylinders to creat more HP and better fuel economy. You know the one with the cool 2 liter bottle demonstration that shows how the air will enter the chamber to give you everything you have ever wanted from a car?!?! For only $45 you can have everything, gauranteed. WOW WOW WOW!

The mod he is talking about (apordes) is a resistor. It goes inline of the temp signal wire and changes the resistance value going to the dme. Yes it will make the dme think the incoming air is cooler than it really is and will slightly richen the mixture, problem is; richening the mixture will not increase horsepower unless additional oxygen is also present.

But, to answer your question, I believe the IAT sensor is located inside the AFM.

Well, I know my car runs better after a car wash ! I'm sure the Hurricane will make it feel faster as well. (At least my car is really clean when I do my enhancement.)

Seriously, the next upgrade should be one of FR's chips (just tell him you are 21...got fake ID?)
