Strange wetness and heat - 944
I have had a 944 for about a year now, and when it rains, the floor under the passenger seat gets wet. I was driving it today, having rained yesterday, and i felt a warm, damp air current coming from the center console right around the passenger seat belt latch. I was wondering if this is a problem anyone has heard of before, and if so, what to do about it.
Thanks, '84 944 n/a |

I think that means you have holes in your battery box.

Could mean that, or the sunroof drain, or the rear hatch seal.
Mine ends up in the right rear passenger floor. Is definately not the batt box. My sunroof is sealed, so it must be the hatch or drain from the hatch. I haven't actually caught it, but is worse when car is parked on a slope to the right. Car perfectly level? No leak.

J/K... My number one check would be the battery box. I thought mine had been repaired then chased down other possible sources for months. Turns out that the repair job was poor and it was the b-box all along. My Fix write-up Good luck and welcome!

Considering that it is warm/wet and where you described.. You may have a leaking heater at the core under the dash

THAT is not a problem! Think there would be the smell of anti freeze if the heater core was leaking. Battery tray/box/area. Can get a nasty hole there.
