How will it look?

Can anyone post a pic of a N/A 944 with S2(design 90) wheels?
I'd like to see how it would look....
TIA

Doesn;t look good at all. Get some 16 inch fuchs. Best looking wheel for the 944 imo. Look on ebay, they might have some n/as with 90's.

I disagree with you there Serge. I think the Design 90's look excellent on a 944 and I would be proud to own a set. E-bay is probably your best bet though.

It's all personal preference. I have 16 inch phonedials and I like them better than fuchs because they have less of an 80's look and the contrast my black car. That's just my opinion though. Everyone is entitled to their own. Whatever makes you smile, do it.

I don't know about that, I'd say the fuchs are equal parts '70s and '80s, whereas the phonedials are right smack in the middle of the 80's. One of the best examples of good lasting '80s design, they are iconic.

I think that's why I only like the Fuchs on 914's and VW Beetles...they look 1970's. Why go 70's on a mid 80's Porsche?!

Phonedials look more attractive to me, even if they were an acquired taste.

17" Turbo twists are ok, just a little too common. So many people have them.

If the '90 wheels you mean are the same style as found on many 928's, then I don't like those on the 944 either. I've seen the 928-style wheels on a 944, and it looks like a 928 had an ugly step child called the 944. lol.

What other options do we have for a 16-17" wheel?

And does anyone know the correct bolt pattern and offset so I can do some searching?

Other than fuchs, 16+ inch old school bbs with black mess center and a polished lip look amazing.

kind of like these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2468294313&category=43956

I think it all depends on the color of the car.

I agree with the color thing.

I actually like cookie cutters on the black cars better than fuchs(never really been a fan or seen the big difference)

16 phone dials...I still think look good (some think they are trash)

Design 90's are good too.

Only ones I really dont like are the BBS jobbies that came as an option. Just doesn't look right.

I do think most need to upgrade to the 16+ in. rims just to modernize though.

Grassroots Msports did an artical recently that tried upsizing from 15" all the way to 18".

The 16's won on most cars when weighting performance and comfort.

the only way I would consider 15's for racing would be if I could get an overall smaller tire. A high sidewall bends too much but the smaller tire would reduce unsprung weight which would be nice. The speedo and shift points would all change though, that's why it would only be good for auto-x.
