Fuel pump Relay and smoking

I was instructed to check the DME relay. A guy told me that a cooked one will tell the tale. I pulled it and it is black on the prongs but when I opened it it looked fine. Any way to bench test and where do I run the current?
I ordered one for good measure. While doing the vacuumm check I noticed a little blue mixed with the black exhaust and after pulling the plugs they were coated with soot again. Hmmmm, did I blow the engine just driving down the road?

Will this relay cause the problems I mentioned in the other post about fuel problem? Runs great for a few seconds at start up the runs terrible with black and NOW a little blue smoke. Still power, oil and antifreeze look good. I'll r/r the relay but can't do a fuel pressure test now... I'll sell this car as is I'm so pi55ed right now.

The relay is probably smoked. They go bad over time. The DME relay also controls the fuel pump (notice the two relay packs inside the relay)

Soot: you are running rich - check your ignition system for good spark
