What tires do you like best?

Hey Dudes,

My P6000 Pirelli 215 60 ZR 15 tires are getting worn. They have been a fantastic performing tire. The 15" rims seem to limit the tire choices. I may purchase the P 6000 again, but I'm considering Michelin Pilot's ..Looking for the general consensus on what tires have worked best for you guys. All my driving is summer weather, so please no snow tire responses...

I run 215 60 15 also.

I had Pirelli P600s, Pirelli P6000s, cheapo Sears tires, and now I have Yokohama AVS ES100s. The Yokos are the best of the group. And at $82 per, they are a bargain. Highly recommended.

I will third the Yokos, they seemed a little slick at first, but after some real miles, they stick like much more expensive tires and they are a bargin!

Yeah I had the Yokohama ES100s on the S2 and thought they were great tires, especially at the price. Wet grip was good and dry grip was great.

I drive my 944 year-round, so I have a high performance all-season tire, BF Goodrich Traction T/A. I really like them, 225 all around on phone dials and they really grip and are quiet at speed.

S03's are the best wet/dry tire IMO. I think there's quite a few good dry weather tires, but the S03's especially shine in wet. There's a lot of auto-x results that point to the S03 as pretty much the best wet and dry.
Yoks are fine for dry and warm, but the AVS Sport is loose in cold or wet conditions, and I believe it's a similar compound as used with the es100, the problem is the teflon in the compound. -they are cheap though!

I'm running bridgestone Potenza RE950s and I like them, they've held up pretty good to abuse and they grip pretty decent. Yoko ES100 is an AWESOME tire, driven a few different cars with them and I love them. Dunlop FM901 are pretty good too from what I've heard (no personaly experience though). BUT My favorite tire is the Falken Azenis ST215, the driving school I went to had those on the cars (Mazda 3's and 6's) and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED them!!! However, I don't think they make the exact size for the 944, but I'm sure you could find something that'll fit.
