Updating Rear Hatch Release...
Dear all,
I have a '82 924 Turbo and I recently bought parts for the electric hatch release. However, for the life of me, I can't figure how to integrate it into my car. I've looked at the parts and I understand how it works, but the way the parts go, I don't think I can use my key should I want to open it from outside. The manual system has the lock as an integral part of it whereas the electric parts don't have a lock. Has anyone got pics or any tips I can try? Many thanks. Sprint. |

You need to weld the mounting bracket to the rear passenger side for the motor.
Only the center key unit is different. Has a different/additional lever assembly on the back so the cable from the motor can operate it. Here: ![]() This is from Pelicans collection of parts pictures. However I would suggest getting all of the pieces including the catches as these have a better design than the older single blade units.
