Still trying to get the engine out...more ?s

So Its almost out...I just got all the 4 bell housing bolts loose ..yes thats right...i got the top ones off easy!! So yeah i just got my oil cooler lines off the block...i still need to figure out how to get the wiring harness out from inside my car into the engine bay ..I CANNOT PULL IT OUT. What do i have to do to get the damn thing out? Pretty much all i have to do is take off the cross member and get that wiring harness out of my car...anything else you guys think i forgot?

edit ..how do i remove the accelerator cable from the car?? i got the cruise control one out easy but the accelerator cable is a different story ...should i remove it from the intake or remove it from the pedal? and how?

The rubber harness can get pretty stiff to pull out...... You need to pry the rubber a little to work it out. Once its loose you can pull the entire harness through the hole. I find that its easier to start pulling the engine and pull the harness at the same time through the opening....

The accelarator cable is loosened at the throttle. Lossen the 13 mm nut and you can slip the cable through the hole...... Its like a little puzzle for you to figure out the first time.

Wow amazing...I was looking at your pictures and I see that your A/C compressor bolt hole is broken in the exact same spot as mine did today, I was trying to release the tension from the belt but instead I was turning it the wrong way so pulling on the belt the A/C compressor bolt hole gave out and broke, it's broken exactly like yours...what are you gonna do about it, I plan on taking mine with the piece that broke off to a guy who can weld alumminum. kinda funny that I actually noticed that out of all those pics if i do say so myself.

Dude don't remove it just yet, if it doesnt work check electrical connections to the compressor, there sould only be one black wire or at least it is on mine but it wasn't working either, also if there is no gas aka refrigerant in the system the compressor will not work, since it is pretty easy to take off, get it out and you can do a test on the compressor by simply sticking your fingers in the two holes where the gas goes into (you have to take the 2 hoses off first so make sure there is no gas in the system or if you don't know keep your head away as you loosen the bolts), basically plug the two holes where the 2 hoses were so its tight, then turn the pulley round and round for about 30 seconds to a minute, then release your fingers, if it is working properly then you will have created suction inside and when you release your fingers you will feel it, try turning the pulley the other way if it doesnt do it the first time cause it works one of the 2 directions. Hope this helps and saves you from buying a new compressor or being all hot and sweaty the rest of the summer.
