repro saratogas and solid mount noise cure?
first off, i'm surprised no one has noticed the reproduction saratoga tops on ebay..
second, anyone with a solid trans mount try putting a rubber isolation pad between the trans and the crossmember to alleviate the noise? |

vibration isolator, not a damper, you could use heavy duty rubber mat (1/4 inch or so) or you could use any durometer of urethane you wanted (just about) i tried the rubber and it worked great, but i want to do urethane and also add isolators between the crossmem. and the frame...
i guess i'll just see how it goes |

I've got a permanent eBay search for Saratoga, so I've seen them selling for the past couple of weeks. No idea about the quality. I recommend patience - I've seen them go for as low as $113 and as high as $212 when people got excited and competitive.

Are those the ones with no hardware?
I've got a Saratoga original with no hardware. Anyone have any ideas or asked the guy what he recommends for hardware? Got a big old moonroof in my old Park Ave and it reminds me how much I want the Saratoga in the 944.

Go look on Ebay again.............the seller isn't there anymore........if it sounds to good to be true........IT IS. Its just to bad he sucked in as many as he did! Saratoga Style roofs, turbo bumper conversions, Lambo style doors, hood scoops. If you bid on any of his stuff, and haven't paid yet........ DON'T SEND HIM ANY MONEY! Contact Ebay first, and ask about it!
I'll tell ya a story sometime real soon, about good deals, high hopes, and really crappy scams. Never heard of such a thing...... yeah.......OK.

Those guys are vapor-ware as well. They apparently have been taking deposits for a while now with no tops forthcoming.

if you paid via credit card, you can easily call your credit card company and tell them the product was never delivered and get a full refund.
then the credit company will investigate into seller fraud. that's their job.
