924 @#$% Tranny Noise
 Left and turns ok right hand turns loud click thump noise and vibration. Cold! no noise. Hotter it gets the worse the noise! Removed Tranny and checked Bearings and damage no obvious defects. Changed Oil. No help. Once its hot and not moving I can take it out of gear and rev the engine and it make THE NOISE! What is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably either wheel bearings or cv joints.

Engine mounts bad usually make vibration at idle though.
CV joints or wheel bearings make the noise while turning but only in motion. Not while stopped. Tranny mount? Exhaust mount?

Stopped! Cold! Clutch in - no Noise. Clutch out - no noise!
Stopped! Tranny warm Clutch in - no Noise Clutch out - Noise! The noise is in the tranny!!! Suspect Bearing or somthing Bent! Checked torque tube bearing's Ok! I Have another tranny for parts will Investigate this week end!

probably a problem where the input shaft meets up with the gearing inside the trans?
not sure... mine has always had that 'whine' at 70+
