Oil Pressure Sender
Hey all, how do I tighten the 2 leads on teh oil pressure sender? one is very tight and the other is pretty loose but I can't figure out how to make it tighter. Am I supposed to tighten the tiny little screw on the end? Cuz if tha'ts what has to be done, what kinda tool you use for that? it's tiny!

It is either a 7MM or 8MM nut. Just take a nut driver or ratchet and tighten it up. There should also be a lock washer there to prevent the nut from backing out.

Where is the oil pressure sender located at? Was your gauge light coming on but needle pressure showed ok? I'm having this problem. Thanks.

The oil pressure sending unit is located under the oil filter. you can access it from under the car. Just lift the passenger side up (use jack stands or else you'll die) *wink* *wink* and crawl under near the oil pan. You should see two little wires connected to it.
Oh and my problem was it was just pegged at 5 all the time

Thank you very much! I'm going to garage right now(jackstands in hand). I will be back later.

My gauge doesn't work all the time.. it will stay at zero, sometimes if I tap on the cluster it will go back up, but the next time i start the car it won't work again, and tapping on it doesn't always work.
All the connections on the back of the cluster are good, could this be a sender problem? I'm thinking not because tapping on the cluster "fixes" it.. |

You can get at it pretty good if you drive the front of the car up on Rhino ramps too. I place jack stands under the frame anyway, just for good measure...
