where is the 924S Auxiliary Air Valve located

Do we have a cold start valve for 87 924S.If yes where is it located?Where is the Auxiliary Air Valve located?

no cold start valve, no aux air valve. You do have a idle stabilizer valve - licated between cyl 2 and 3 intake runner.

Will that effect my car not starting up like a cold start?Do those ever need to get replaced

Auxiliary air regulator: Open when engine is cold, closed at operating temp. At least for the 944; assume the 924S is similar. Page 110 of the Haynes manual shows location and has test data. Bad news: Have to remove intake manifold to replace it. As far as I can figure, only on the 83 thru 85 models.

Now on my '84, the stabilization valve is attached to the rear support for the air cleaner......Don't know about the '24S.... Seems as if the later 944 models had an idle speed regulator (930 606 161 00). May be the same with the 24S...
