Sure ..... just try and find one with nice thick walls. In the NA's its not that big of a deal. On the turbos, I have blown silocone vaccuum hoses right off the connectors......

I bought some Lindsey Racing blue hose... it split on 3 different sections! The thicker walled stuff SFR sells is supposed to be better, I made some at work which was a cheap option in the end.

We use industrial grade blue silicone hose. Never had one blow off. Try using a small zip-tie or a small hose clamp to keep them on. (partial to zip-ties myself - they don't cut into the hose.)
they can be affected by some automotive chemicals. Carb cleaner and brake fluid seem to degrade them and cause splits. AFJuvat
