Control Arm Rebuild
I am going to rebuild my control arms. This seems to be possible, but I have only found 2 sources for ball joint kits, one fairly expensive, and one that doesn't actually include the ball joints. I want to rebuild the ball joints and replace the bushings. Any advice as to what to expect, or especially parts/suppliers, would be appreciated.

No problem. Check this out---http://clarks-garage.com/. Lots of advice and links. Also, do a search for 944 ball joints on an internet search engine for even more info. Just did mine. It's worth the time and cost.

Clark's garage has the procedure I originally posted on my 951 RacerX website. The kit I got from Sloan is the best out there and costs less than a single rebuilt arm for TWO! How can you beat that? And it uses brass cups instead of the stupid nylon ones that came stock and that others sell in their rebuild kits. Once you install this kit, you'll never have to worry about your A-arms again!

I'm such a slacker... yet another thing that's been on my list for months.

I'll be going the Rennbay route. Danno, I'll be making good use of your procedure, thanks for taking the time to do that write-up. I'll post my results, and of course any questions/problems with me control arm experience.
