timing belt/cyl head update

so, i got it all together this morning. new coolant, new oil, electrical connections all together.

take a deep breath and hit the ignition. fires up... dies. fires up... dies. fires up... dies. fires up, hold throttle in at 3000 RPMs, let off... dies.

dammit.

then i start looking around and realize i forgot a big vacuum hose that plugs into the bottom of the intake manifold. intake manifold is coming off tomorrow.

the good news is that it ran, sort of, and there were no strange noises and nothing blew up.

Don't you just hate that sinking feeling in your stomach when stuff like that happens?

Then you feel instantly better\kinda dumb when you realize it is something simple.

You did it! No valve collision - the rest is gravy, right?

That must have been a tense moment when it died for the first time, though. Phew!
