the girlie got me a really, REALLY nice model of a '58 Golden Hawk and a book on a sociological perspective of US auto design (yeah, we're both geeks but hey, whatever) and I bought myself an Imperial 3/8" tubing bender and a front license bracket for the 944 off eBay

nate

(now what I really want is the matching 3/16" and 1/4" benders but they seem to be hard to find for some reason...)

TOOLS!

I finally got a matching set of screwdrivers and $150 worth of gift certificates for Craftsman products. There's definitely another torque wrench in the future as well as a few "triple squares" for those annoying cam tower bolts!

I got a nice lower rolling Craftsman tool box (my top piece got too small for all my tools), K+N cone filter with adaptor plate, new shifter, new shift boot knob, new passengerside marker light (mine disappeared). A new pair of shoes (mine were gone after 2 years..literally the front separated from the sole and you can see my sock), a nice pair of snow boots, and some Timberlands for work.

Although after tonights snow, I should have asked for snow tires. THe POS's I got on there now dont get me anywhere.

I was hoping for a sport clutch, but i don't think my parents would have known where to find one. I did get ae electric car buffer because my 951 has been sitting w/o engine for 5 months (the paint is oxidizing). I also got some $$ twards a new waterpump...and like 6 pairs of gloves. i don't know what everyone got me gloves. two pairs are mechanics and one is for driving.

...happy new year.

to add to this thread, I just "gave" myself a pair of refinished phone dials yesterday (just have to clearcoat them)

I was actually hoping someone would give me a buffer but I guess I will have to get one myself...

My Christmas present is that my car has been found. Matson Shipping CO. picked up my car on Nov 19 in Honolulu HI and then lost it. They called Christmas Eve and said they found it and it should be at my home in VA in a week. The only good thing about my car being on my most wanted list is that they rented me a Jaguar X-Type as a rental. Not a bad car, but I do miss the Porsche. I will shower the mistress when she arrives. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Floor jack, but I already had one. The new one won't fit under the p-car, but it will get a work out on other vehicles. Oh, I also got rear ended. Thank goodness it wasn't in the 944. So I guess I'm getting a bunch of new stuff from the at fault drivers' insurance company, if he has one.
