ok,
porsche 924 turbo 1980 so the car starts no problem. When at idle everything seems great. When I press the gas the car chugs and knocks. It seems like the car doesnt want to run. When I press harder on the gas the car chugs more and the rpm doesnt really rise passed 2000rpm. Eventually I can get the car over 2000rp up to redline but its hard and rough the whole way. The car can idle for 20mins no problem, but when the gas is introduced it has big problems? any help, suggestions would help. thanks Mike Ryan

After all the basic tune-up items have been checked/replaced, check all the hoses etc.. vacuum leaks are very common on these and really mess up the air/fuel ratio.
The mixture setting on the fuel dist is also quite sensitive, and may need some adjustment.

My 924lux was exactly the same when i bought it - it would fire up but then cut out unless you pumped the fuel pedal and built up the revs.Had to have a garage service (plugs, dizzy cap, fuel, oil, air filter change), adjusted the mixture and she ran like a dream.
