87 944S In the Balance

Here is another "what's it worth" but what can I say, you look at 'em, fall in love and then look for reasons why to not buy....
Anyhow, 87 S, 130K, incomplete docs, lotsa valves in there, ditzy owner but only for 5K. Sounds good, runs strong, PPI will be contingent. Might be a dream or a nightmare but you read this far so put in a bid.

If it can pass a PPI, go for it. Make sure you get a complete PPI. Plan on spending about $1000 on regular maintenance items - belts, etc.

I would hate to sound like a dumbass (I can't avoid the inevitable), but what does PPI stand for? I'm guessing its not the producer price index...

Be sure to ask when or if the tensioner (or it pad) was last replaced. If it hasn't, you're looking at an additional $350+ to get this done.

Then look for the other "normal" 944 repairs................
