how many of you use the 951 as a daily driver
i found a beautiful one/'87, immaculate inside/out/engine compartment, recent belts/wp, motor recently rebuilt, no cracks in the dash, perfect interior/paint owned/maintained for 6 years by an ase master mechanic who works in one of the most expensive shops on the island, servicing volvo, mercedes, saab, porsche as there are no dealers. it's almost too nice to be a daily driver.

Porsches are meant to be driven.

As long as you take care of it, keep it clean and don't let any morons hit it, what's the problem? Both of mine are daily drivers right now. Eventually the 951 will become the daily driver and the 944 will go off the road for major upgrades / restoration / converstion and ultimately become more of a garage queen / occasional track queen, but they're Porsches, not Ferraris. Our cars actually get driven.

Just think, instead of going 45 you could have been going 65 when the dork pulled out in front of you.

I drive my 951 everyday. That includes -40C winters with 2ft of snow on the roads. They're meant to be driven!

Drive it. Love it. A 951 is not meant to be merely pampered, take it out and try to break a few parts.

I drive an '89 951 daily, and don't feel the least bit bad about it. Quite the opposite, really.
Of course, my daily drive is 40 miles of I-65, twice. I might feel different if I was driving it 3 miles through traffic...

I feel guilty when I get caught in L.A. stop-go traffic, so I make it up to her with an occasional trip up into triple digits.
