Installing keyless entry in 86 NA 944 - wiring questions please
I'm installing this keyless entry/alarm system from Circuit City:
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Code...roductDetail.do and actuators in the doors ala these great threads - http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforu...44&page=1&pp=15 http://www.944time.com/944/944doorlock.stm :caution, nude picture on this guys site if you might be offended I have done similar projects before but still have 2 wiring questions for you experts: 1) A parking flash +12v wire is provided by the kit, but the 944 divides the parking into L & R wires - grey/black and grey/red, respectively. Can I install 2 diodes off the single wire to feed the two sides and thereby keep the L & R systems isolated? Would one diode on one side be enough to prevent cross currents? 2) A rear trunk button with a negative pulsed low current wire is provided. I realize I will have to go through a relay. But the confusing thing is how the rear hatch release switch/motor is wired. Someone else said to pulse the blue wire with +12volts - yet the switch seems to be shorting the motor in the neutral position and it doesn't look like this would work. Sheesh - they don't make life easy Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. SDGuy in San Diego |
