Need immediate help (PICTURE)

I'm putting my engine in as we speak. I got everything lined up and i realized that i needed to install the heater valve. My question is:

Does (A) go into the firewall, or does (A) go into the nozzle on the side of the head?

I'm just confused about the orientation.
Thanks a ton, wish me luck.

That nasty clunking is either coming from my tranny or an axle, hopefully the latter...
Gotta quit those second gear burnouts...

well' thats not kiling it. if the clunking was coming from your engine that would be bad. transaxle swap isn't too hard. 3 hours tops. i'll help, i owe you.

thanks for the help guys, i have most of the electrical connected, and i have the clutch housing bolted to the torque tube. i'll do more tomorrow.

second gear burnouts... I'm leaning on the differential being the source of the noise....

If it's not too late, use a little silicone on the bell-housing to the block. This will help keep water from dripping into your clutch and destroying it and the pilot bearing when the heater valve fails. On the later cars, Porsche moved the valve to another location so it doesn't drip on the clutch.
