Resetting Bumper Pad Bolt
Can anyone please pass along some advice or past experience in resetting the bolts that are embedded in the bumper pads? The bolt on the corner of my rear right pad has broken, so the corner of the pad is pulling away from the bumper. I tried to reset a new bolt using PL 400 (construction adhesive) figuring that stuff is pretty solid from using it in the past. I let the adhesive set up for almost a week and I knew going into it that I wouldn't over-torque it just in case, but it didn't even take too much until the adhesive gave out. Has anyone ever used something stronger that worked? Or just get another pad? I can't figure out what the factory used to set the other bolts, but they are in there pretty good.

I hope your not driving it like that with only one bumper pad it will give us (2 bumper pad 944 owners) a bad name...
I could not resist, bring it when we do the brakes and I will see what we can do but a new/used one might be the best bet |

IIRC, I crammed a large washer into the hole where the old bolt was, retaining a new bolt behind it. I packed the hole with regular epoxy before installing the bolt and washer, and smeared a bunch on top of the washer once it was in. Don't tighten it too hard when installing. Use a nylon lock nut and/or lock washers and tighten it just enough to hold it snugly. Cleanliness before applying epoxy is important. It's held fine for 5 years so far.
