Anyone hear from FR Wilks? Still trying to fix my PowerProm..
Has anyone heard from FR Wilks?
Still trying to resolve an issue with the Dual PowerProm board set he installed on my '83 944 DME. Chipset still does not work on another, pre-tested!, DME, installed by a refutable Porsche mechanic, so it's obviously in the chip set, or FR's installation, not either of my 2 DME's. He doesn't return email, nor answer the phone number listed on the UPS report & he's cashed my check for $470 over a month or two ago. Any help finding him would be appreciated. I havent seen him in a while........... it is odd ?
I can't see him making a run out of the country over $200 bucks........ Hopefully he shows up soon.

This just gets weirder and weirder. Site is down. Hasn't been on Pelican since his infamous "carpet bombing kittens" thread. He hasn't replied to emails in over a month.
Call me paranoid (that's what one entire class on GRAVITY'S RAINBOW will do to you), but something is going on here. Either Wilk is 1) on extended vacation 2) is very ill 3) has been kidnapped 4) has cut ties with the Porsche community because of problems with the Power Prom chip set ... or... 5) this is all an elaborate prank. Hope we hear from him soon. Now back to the Pynchon for me.

His site is all sorts of messed up, Links going no where, missing info, Chip ordering page is off line. Wilk wont reply to any of my e-mails. Somthing is very fishy

I hope everything is alright. I chatted with FR about 2 months ago. Everything seemed fine then. It makes you wonder if something happened personally which doesnt allow him to respond to emails or phone calls.

I really would doubt that he was trying to screw anyone, having given excellent chips to so many people, but this is very strange, I'm sure we'll hear from him.

I dont think anyone thinks hes trying to screw anyone here. I have a feeling something has taken a major priority in his life. I hope he is alright, and that he hasent been hurt. FRwilk if you read this, know that you are missed, and we wish to hear from you about your condition.

DANG, crazy coincidence. I'm on the phone with a friend of a friend (told to call him for advice on my car). He tells me to jump on Pelican and talk to FRWilks to help troubleshoot.
