hmm, not sure if my physics is still all there, but the field-effect is about the two parts of an electrical field, namely the E, and the H field {i think}. they are at right angles to each other, and 90 deg out of phase. they both exist, although i cant think why this would be used in a spark plug application?
the H field is more commonly referred to as the magnetic field. yes, i know, i should get a life!! bob.

all i can really say, is that the magnetic portion of a "wave front"is exceptionally great at not coupling into other electrical circuits, than the E field does. this is fact. maybe for the plugs, this means less interference if you are listening to say, am radio.
bob.

They look terrible. I can't imagine they would work very well in real life. How would the fuel/air mixture get all the way down inside the plug to be ignited when it sparks?... You would get a lot of misfires.
Not to mention, everything they say seems just a little off.....

That style plug has been around for years in Marine application motors. Part of the idea is that there is nothing blocking the electrode and spark from the fuel air mix.

they probably work as well as the turbonator or the e-ram

It is similar to surface fire or zero clearance plugs used in outboard motors, and also extremely high compression engines, F1 and the like. My buddy built a small block Chevy, short stroke, 14:1 compression 11,000 rpm 714 HP normally aspirated motor, and had to run zero clearance plugs. He had to run an aviation coil that put out 90,000 volts.
