What is a DME relay?
I am having trouble with my fuel pump and was told the DME relay is important. What is it? What does it do? Where is it? Thanks

Fuel pump relay: 993 615 227 00 is a service item that should be changed every 5 years or so.
It is the main power source relay for the Motronic system. When (not if: when) it fails the car stops. Usually at the most inconvenient and annoying time.
